Privacy notice

Columbia Plumber Guide publishes Columbia Plumber Guide, an independent directory of plumber businesses in Columbia. Most visits leave nothing personal with us at all. This page covers the cases that do: enquiry forms, attribution data, and the third-party services the site loads.

Information this site collects

The forms on this site (enquiries and quote requests) collect the details you type in: name, email address, phone number, your message, and any service or timing answers the form asks for. Each submission also carries the URL of the page it was sent from, plus traffic-source attribution such as the referring site and UTM parameters, so we know which page and channel the enquiry came through.

Where form submissions go

Your submission goes through our lead-capture processor, which delivers it to the plumber business you enquired about and to the site operator. Those are the only recipients of a form submission.

Local storage

We do not set tracking cookies of our own. The one thing the site stores client-side is session-scoped attribution data (referrer, landing page, UTM parameters) in sessionStorage, so that a form sent later in your visit records where you came from. It is first-party only and clears when the session ends.

Analytics

Where analytics is enabled on this site, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager may set cookies to measure how visitors use the site. Those cookies are governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

Third-party services

Loading a page here can involve requests to a small set of third parties, each of which sees standard request data such as your IP address: Google Fonts (typefaces), OpenStreetMap (map tiles), and, when enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile (form spam protection). Their own privacy policies apply to those requests.

Information about listed businesses

Information about listed businesses comes from publicly available sources, including Google Business Profile reviews. The site stores our derived analysis of that material (scores, summaries, sentiment tags) rather than the reviews themselves. Corrections and removal requests are handled through the listing policy.

Retention and your requests

We hold your submission for as long as it takes to route and follow up your enquiry. If you want to know what we hold, or want it corrected or deleted, send your request to the publisher contact details on the about page.
